CHILDHOOD IMMUNISATION CLINICS ARE BY APPOINTMENT - PLEASE DO NOT COME IN IF YOUR CHILD HAS A TEMPERATURE OR IS GENERALLY UNWELL - TELEPHONE TO SCHEDULE AN ALTERNATIVE APPOINTMENT.

CBT - the practice employs a registered Cognitive Behavioural Therapist each Tuesday and Thursdays She helps patients manage anxiety, OCD, pain and depression. Referral from the GP is essential. Failure to attend will automatically discharge you from the service and cancellation within 24hours will put you back to the bottom of the waiting list.

Antenatal – midwife led clinic at Portaferry every other Tuesday morning .

Childhood vaccination Clinics – every Wednesday afternoon by appointment only. The clinics are run by our practice vaccination nurses. If you miss an appointment, Child Health will send you a further appointment.

Diabetic Clinic – Telephone or face to face review by our practice nurse, Gemma. Book in with Gemma for annual blood tests and a diabetic foot check and she can then follow up with you either face to face or via the telephone. . 

Respiratory Clinics - For annual review of all those with Asthma or COPD you can book a face to face or telephone consultation with our respiratory nurse.

Minor Injuries – cuts, lacerations, foreign bodies and head injuries can be assessed here at Portaferry Surgery. The doctor will treat your injury and refer to A&E if necessary. For suspected fractures and more serious injuries you should telephone Minor Injuries at Ards  91 484511 or Urgent Care at Downe 44838091 for an appointment or attend ED at Ulster Hospital.

Minor Surgery - the doctors carry out various minor surgical procedures at the Clinic, including joint injections and insertion of long term contraceptive devices.
