Welcome to Portaferry Surgery
With patient’s needs at the heart of everything we do, our website has been designed to make it easy for you to gain instant access to the information you need. As well as specific practice details such as opening hours and how to register, you’ll find a wealth of useful pages covering a wide range of health issues along with links to other relevant medical organisations.
To help reduce the potential spread of infection, we are advising all patients to phone before coming to the surgery.
When you ring us, our staff will ask you some questions to determine your condition. Some of these questions may include if you have a temperature or a cough. These questions help us to determine the best action to take but also helps protect our staff and other vulnerable patients.
If appropriate, you may receive a call back from a GP or be given other relevant advice.
Repeat prescription requests will now be taken via the telephone. Please allow 48 hours before collecting at your community pharmacy.
If you have a NEW fever or persistent cough, you can telephone 119 to BE TESTED. If your symptoms deteriorate or you experience any shortness of breath, please telephone the surgery to seek medical advice.
